BD and the BD Foundation are proudly supporting PinkDrive’s new mobile clinic, which recently deployed with state-of-the-art technology to make access to early and effective breast and cervical cancer detection achievable for the women of South Africa. The mobile unit is equipped with a 3D mammography unit and a fully equipped gynecological room, and will provide mammograms and clinical breast examinations, as well as pap smears, PSA testing for prostate cancer and educational materials about breast, cervical, prostate and testicular cancers. With partners like PinkDrive, BD is working to address health equity by expanding access to cancer screening and treatment – and helping make a meaningful, lasting impact on the health of women in South Africa. This month, BD held our first BD Supplier Climate Action Summit to promote supplier engagement in emissions reductions. Senior leaders from BD, along with strategic customers and industry experts, shared best practices and highlighted the significance of this work, urging all BD suppliers to set reduction targets within the next three years. BD announced the completion of the acquisition of Edwards Lifesciences’ Critical Care, which will now operate as a separate business unit within BD's Medical segment as BD Advanced Patient Monitoring and will continue to be based in Irvine, California.
