    Pros

This is a small company so there is a coziness to working here. A lot of employees have been around for decades and HR encourages internal growth and career development. People are conscientious, diligent and accessible, and the employee base is incredibly diverse and respectful.

    Cons

There aren't a lot of young employees, so there aren't as many company-wide social events.

    Pros

Positive working environment, get helps and supports inside the team.
Good place to learn and gain knowledge for employees at every career stages.

    Cons

Individual performance is buried by team work. Talents are hard to be realized.
    Career opportunities are limited.

    Advice to Management

Communications between departments/teams need to be advocated.

I have been working at ivari full-time

    Pros

Trying to modernize applications, systems, policies and employees. Employees are allowed volunteer hours and kids sport team sponsorships to support Healthy Kids. IT Management support work life balance.

    Cons

Tough to modernize when you are too busy supporting old infrastructure.

    Advice to Management

IT Management needs develop 5 and 10 year strategies of applications instead of waiting for a request to change from the business. Increase work from home allowances or standardize across departments. Some teams allow 2-3 days/week and others only 1. I suggest a Technical Innovation competition to drive modernization/improvements.

I worked at ivari (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company is a strong supporter of employee wellness and work-life balance. Looks to leverage the latest in technology to improve work flows.

    Cons

Contractors are treated like gods, and given free reign to do whatever they want without following the same standards that employees are required to follow. Makes for a difficult work environment, particularly when management doesn't want to address any conflicts that arise between contract and full-time staff.

    Advice to Management

Put your money where you mouth is, and give your staff more support by subjecting contractors to same standards and reviews as full-time staff are subjected to.
