    Pros

The people, the salaries(60k for customer service agents, middle management between 60k-95k plus generous bonuses), benefits, retirement plan, work/life balance. Great product offering. This is an environment where you need to contribute to success and perform. It's challenging work but the experience gained is extraordinary. No other company can offer this type of experience. For anyone looking to develop professionally, this a great place.

    Cons

Some employees/departments refuse to adapt to ever-changing needs of the business which slows down overall progress. Things are sometimes slow to change/implement either due to bureaucracy or budget. Activities and company events have taken a backseat during this transformation.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring immature kids that have no experience to sell our products. Hire professionals, that's who you want representing the business. People who can relate to our advertisers, business owners and the Canadian marketplace. The key to success is in our people. Hire professionals and we will succeed, hire kids and they will ruin whatever is left of our reputation.

    Pros

    - Great team that is working hard to make it through with the current situation - Used to be a nice place to work - Management used to be able to make changes for improvements - Good benefits

    Cons

    - Many valuable employees have been laid off or have eventually quit the company. - The production efforts have been outsourced - Bad outsourcing services quality - The remaining team is struggling and very frustrated - Direct managers have their hands tied to apply any change to the current situation - No room to improvements - Flexible hours have been disabled. - Upper management is only focused on financial goals

    Advice to Management

The decision you took last year of firing so many and valuable employees and to outsource the production efforts has been a huge mistake. It has deeply and negatively impacted the motivation of the remaining team and the quality of your products, which results in a very low customer's satisfaction. Please open your eyes and ears to see and listen the struggles that your employees are facing. This situation is no longer sustainable.

I worked at Yellow Pages full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Flex Hours and Great People.

    Cons

Company is under constant restructuring to reduce headcount so there's no sense of job security for employees. Since the company is striving to not go backrupt, there has been no salary increase for more than 3 years nor much room for career growth. If you are looking to develop a career with opportunities and advancement, please stay away.
