I worked at Yell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary good earning potential however the money is not worth the long hours and pressure better jobs with good work life balance....

    Cons

High pressure all the time, long hours never able to switch off. Lots of customer complaints which are left to you to pick up even if not you who caused the complaint and still expected to bring in massive targets.

    Advice to Management

Be realistic support staff rather than using pressure tactics.

I have been working at Yell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I started working at (then) Yellow Pages on a 4 week contract doing data entry over 25 years ago. Somehow I never left, and am now a Talent & Development Consultant. I've been part of the business' transformation from print giant to the UK's largest digital advertising agency for SMEs, particularly in the area of training. This has included a lot of training & development to be able to perform this role. It's been at turns challenging, exciting , occasionally infuriating, but never boring. As anyone who has been here this long will testify, it's the people who make the business: The dedication of trying to provide the best advertising solutions for SMEs runs right through the company and has kept us going through good times and not so good.

    Cons

It has taken a while for us as a business to truly understand that we are no longer the dominant force with a captive audience but one competitor in a fierce and fast moving marketplace: Some projects and initiatives have frustrating idiosyncrasies which can make delivery challenging. We are still learning to operate outside of traditional work siloes, and challenging things that have been done a certain way for so long that no one can remember why can be frustrating. But it makes it fun, too. We are also completely addicted to TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms)

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening to your people

    Pros

Yells a brilliant company to work for, I have learnt a huge amount over the last few months working as a Digital Account Manager. The recruitment process through to the 8 week onboarding was very professional throughout, people generally want you to succeed, and give you all the tools and help that you need. The products are fantastic, and overall its a great company to work for.

    Cons

I cannot think of downsides at the moment, if your happy to put the hours in and follow the process, you are rewarded accordingly.

    Advice to Management

keep doing a great job, developing people, and developing great products!

    Pros

    Brillitant Recruiter
    Great product range
    Easy going recruitment process
    Good basic pay
    Great company perks

    Cons

Unorthodox personality test...They looked past this based on results from accompanied assessments.

    Advice to Management

FAITH FINNEY helped me through my journey with the recruitment process. It was great to see the recruitment process was different from the traditional methods. I didn't get the pleasure to work with the Senior team but upon meeting the RSM and Team manager, I can see them being very supportive and approachable.
