      Pros

Policies that promote work/life balance, generally positive atmosphere, pretty decent job stability despite being project based, growth mindset

      Cons

Somewhat inconsistent social culture, a lot of people keep to themselves despite generally being friendly when addressed

      Pros

great building, decent WFH setup. new flex hours is great.

      Cons

they seem to be having a really hard time stringing shows together so artists often are faced with uncertainty as to if there will be any work past the current contract and will often be notified a month out that there might be a new contract but it will be after a 3-6 month break

Great team and workplace + benefits. Little room for growth or raises.

      Pros

Wonderful, clean office space with plenty of kitchen and rest areas. The new office on West 3rd is lovely. I love that there are systems set up by upper management to interview artists and ask them what types of opportunities they would like. There are consistent employee performance reviews, which is highly appreciated.

      Cons

Very little room for growth. I was a strong performer first year out of college, and proved it by learning quickly and coming up with new systems for the team, but the best offer even after negotiation was a $25 raise (to $925/week, from $900), with potential to make "up to $1000/wk". The starting rate at another studio was $1050 for a similar position, so I applied there and left Wildbrain instead.

      Pros

You get to go home on time. the rules are clear. the expectations are clear. Management is supportive. Many people warned me about the Corporate nature of the Wild Brain studio. But what they mean was that Wild Brain is run like a business and not a fraternity. I love having health coverage and going home at a reasonable time every evening. If that is the sort of thing that makes it corporate then GOOD news there are lots of other animation studios in the city that offer low pay, minimal benefits and long exhausting work hours for the less Corporate minded.

      Cons

The coffee machines are meh.... but its free so

A good place to work if you value stability and benefits over high pay and creative growth

      Pros

very good benefits, RRSP matching, stable: usually has projects to roll off of when your contract ends,

      Cons

fairly corporate culture, but improving. Productions rarely schedule correctly and often creates crunches later in the pipeline. Pay is less than other local studios, there are efforts to improve this but it's slow moving. Company culture isn't bad but it's bland and lacks personality. It attracts a lot of folks who want to come in and put their headdown and work ( which is fine) but it's not especially vibrant, fun or friendly. I notice folks who come from outside of canada find it very cold feeling.
