Pros

- Team is very skilled at what they do and driven to help clients succeed. Everyone is a professional - VaynerCommerce is not like any other digital agency or partner. It has a number of other competitive advantages and structures engagements to have a vested interest in client success - Lots of opportunity for growth and really challenging oneself - Extremely supportive team members!

Cons

- To have east and west coast coverage, the working hours are longer on Monday to Thursday and then half days on Fridays. Just make sure this aligns with your lifestyle and commitments before joining

Pros

My manager always lets me know what my next title would be if I can grow into it. I’ve been compensated well and given generous raises before I have to ask. They’re willing to take a chance if you need to learn a few things on the job, supposing you are curious and have a good attitude.

Cons

Work life balance is rough. The team is growing quickly but still barely keeping pace with inbound projects, so there’s not a lot of redundancy if someone is sick or takes some time off. Also training is pretty minimal - you mostly get tossed right in and hope for the best.

Pros

Some great people work here. The benefits are decent.

Cons

The company has many talented and dedicated individuals, but unfortunately, its management does not reflect those strengths. Leadership shows little interest in employee growth and development, often setting unattainable goals while offering vague or misleading promises of bonuses. There’s a noticeable imbalance in leadership roles, with a predominance of men in management positions, fostering a “bro culture” that feels exclusionary. Initiatives like women-focused meetings seem performative, addressing surface-level concerns without implementing meaningful change. The core issue stems from leaders who lack direction, openly admit their shortcomings, and then shift blame to their teams, leading to unwarranted terminations. Favoritism is also apparent, further diminishing morale. Ironically, management practices fall short of the principles that Gary Vaynerchuk champions online constantly, such as fostering a supportive, inclusive environment and empowering talent. It’s disheartening to see the company fail to align its leadership practices with the values it claims to uphold, ultimately squandering the potential of its incredible workforce.
