Red flags, poor management, and dehumanizing work environment

Salary was fair and the job was 80% remote.

The role they advertised didn't end up being what was worked on, and the internal turnover rate was very high. There was an apparent need for more people but it was stated by the owner that 'No more resources will be allocated until the team starts generating a profit'. Management was 99% overseas and had almost no involvement in the team I worked on, this resulted in feedback weeks after something was completed. We all worked on a very niche product that required very high level domain technical knowledge, the local expert was 'pushed' out of the position and never replaced leaving us with large gaps in knowledge. Product design was done on the fly with no dedicated QA for several months. Tasks given were rarely planned, they normally were very large components that needed to be shoehorned into some immutable parts of the project. The work environment was fairly average, the all staff check in meetings normally were just reminders that you are not working hard enough and you need to be making the owner more money. The owner referred to people as dollar amounts, that it is costing him X amount of dollars per day with no incoming revenue. Before departing the exit procedures were unclear and mismanaged, forms that wererequired were not given for several weeks. Things were said that insinuated blame and were very unprofessional; their gaslighting was a deliberate attempt to shift all the issues onto someone to save face.
