Pros

Remote work is a great thing, to some extent. Not great for mental health.

Cons

However, the sheer lack of empathy for the employees, and the inhumane in-between call times really make you feel like you're working at a sweatshop or a stereotypical call centre in a third world country. The production managers mostly don't give a crap even if the world is ending. And Transcom being an "at will" company, can fire you despite valid reasons shown from employee side.

Pros

Great training program and trainers Flexible shift schedules to choose from Working from home (they mail you out a computer and all the hardware and software you will need) Competent HR personal

Cons

No support once you leave Nesting and training Very high stress Very monotonous Canadians have virtually no opportunities for growth. All the jobs that get posted are only for American employees. Only job that ever gets posted for Canadians is entry level customer support. No team leader positions. No HR positions. Nothing. No room for growth whatsoever.

Pros

It is work from home. Hardly matters though.

Cons

Everything is about "metrics". Oh you got a dissatisfaction review by a customer for something that was totally out of your control? It's YOUR fault. They lie on their official work contracts. They write "40 hours" but you're forced by your managers or team leads to sit past your 8 hours if there's another call coming in before your shift ends. So note this. It is okay if you miss your lunches or have them way late if you are on a call, but if you happen to be even a minute or two past your approved break, it will be held against you. This company pretends to be "fun", it actually is not. And it has some of the worst upper management. Just looking for something else and can't wait to get rid of this job.
