Pros

Good health insurance and PTO. A good relationship between sales specialists, but that is about it.

Cons

I am extremely disappointed and I am about to hand in my notice. When I first started TGTG, you are given a sense of good work culture and of pride for working for such a mission-driven company. However, the longer I stay here, the more I see that Canadian Senior Management does not care about us. The turnover of employees in Canada is extremely high, whether it is people leaving or getting let go (for less than good enough reasons). Once you can see past the facade, then you are able to see what is happening around you and how incapable the two most "senior" managers are (the irony is that one of them is from People and Culture), leading you to be constantly thinking if you are next to be let go and be replaced by another person, just to cover up how bad they are at their own job. Also, the job post for this role is misleading. You apply for a BDR or SDR role, but end up being a 'Sales Specialist', which consists of being, SDR, AE and AM. The pay is quite bad and they make earning your bonus impossible by having an unattainable target. All in all, if you are serious about your career, save yourself from wasting your time at this company.

Pros

a B-Corp company, made me feel proud to be part of something meaningful, especially with its mission to reduce food waste. generous PTO policy and focus on employee wellness

Cons

But honestly, that’s where the good stuff ends. The management here is really bad—it's chaotic and there's a clear lack of direction and support. While some might see this as a chance to learn, if you’re hoping to grow in your career, I’d strongly advise you to look elsewhere. There’s no room for advancement, and the turnover rate is through the roof. Every month, you’re asked to sign yet another goodbye card for someone leaving. The pay is also way below what you’d expect for this kind of work, especially compared to other companies. And the bonus structure? It’s confusing and demotivating. You only get a bonus if you hit a certain number of closed stores, and if you fall short—even by just a few—you get nothing. So if your quota is 18 and you close 15 stores, all your hard work goes unrewarded. In the end, while the mission of Too Good To Go is something to admire, the company itself is not. If you’re serious about your career and want to grow, do yourself a favor and look for opportunities elsewhere.
