Pros

I work at Skygate and honestly think it’s a brilliant place to be. The atmosphere on site is always positive, and there’s a real sense of teamwork no matter what shift you’re on. Managers and colleagues mix every day, and everyone pulls together to hit targets and support each other. One thing I really appreciate is how inclusive the place feels people from all backgrounds are welcomed, and the culture around diversity and inclusion is genuinely strong. It’s a busy environment, but the engagement is high, the team spirit is great, and it feels like a workplace where you can be yourself and grow. I’d definitely recommend working here to anyone looking for a supportive and energetic warehouse environment.

Cons

Sometimes the pace can be really fast, and on busy days it can feel a bit full‑on. Keeping up with targets and changes can be challenging at times, but the team support usually helps balance it out.

Pros

Good benefits, pension wise etc. Flexibility when needed. Brilliant team managers and brilliant colleagues on my department

Cons

Clear divide between head office and the other sites. Events etc would be happening at head office but the other sites wouldn’t be included in the majority of them. The way the recent TUPE situation has been handled is horrific, as a company who prides themselves on wellbeing they’ve had zero concern for the 500+ staff and their mental health during the process of them being transferred to another company.

We’re really sorry to hear this was your experience. We know there’s been a lot of change for our customer care teams and transferring to a new business isn't easy. We’re especially sorry to read how the TUPE process felt from your perspective. Supporting colleagues’ wellbeing throughout was really important to us, and we put a range of support in place - including regular updates on progress, opportunities to ask questions via the intranet and at town hall meetings, coffee sessions with the leadership team, and continued access to our Mental Health First Aiders and employee assistance programme. As always, we're open to hearing more specific feedback about colleague experiences. If you'd like to share more detail, please do reach out to Jen Barber, People Director or Vicky Gregory, Senior People Partner. Thank you for everything you contributed during your time at Very, and we wish you all the best for the future.

Great people and teams to work with, good internal opportunities and colleague engagement. Also a great work/life balance

Cons

Site is old and could do with modernisation or a new site entirely
