Pros

-An unlimited vacation policy that they'll never actually let you use -A gorgeous office space that is always empty because there aren't anymore employees left -An "open" leader who will send you emails at 2AM telling you how much she has no idea what she's doing...

Cons

-A "leader" so dead-set on micromanaging literally everything that she's forced out every other leader in the company in the last year. -The team has no idea what they're selling anymore, and they bank on clients and potential clients not to ask too many questions. There are no more consultants left. -This place is career limbo. You will come here hoping for it to be an opportunity, and instead it will become a giant black hole sucking all of your sanity and intelligence.

Pros

The Frontier Project, an innovation, strategy consulting firm located in Richmond, VA was set to be a great, world class consulting firm. The company is forward thinking and has helped many clients succeed in their engaged endeavors.

Cons

A few crucial business decisions, namely the decision of the CEO to not remove the founder of the company after a harassment claim was brought to light, have set it on a path to become an incubator for sexual harassment and verbal abuse rather than ideas. During my tenure at the firm, I bore witness to countless advances, off color comments, verbal abuses and other harassing behavior by the founder. Ultimately, he was the reason I, and many others, have chosen to leave the firm. His determination to become successful knows no bounds in how he treats his employees and clients.

Pros

Many very bright and talented coworkers. Plenty of room to challenge your self motivation and ingenuity. Salary, health insurance and profit sharing are competitive with local market.

Cons

Frontier boasts a very high turnover rate. I believe this is due to an abusive environment cultivated by the company's leaders. While I was there I witnessed many incidents of verbal abuse and public shaming from the top leadership. The most unacceptable detail was the poor handling of a legal harassment claim brought against one of the leadership amidst a number of other similar complaints concerning the leader's treatment of the female staff. In my opinion, the member of leadership was protected while the staff was encouraged to keep their heads down or leave the company. Additionally, expectations and processes are unclear for those executing the work, often pushing junior and associate level employees into taking on senior level workload and responsibility to meet client needs and company promises.
