Pros

Large variety of projects to work on, as a result you get to explore the entire range of mobile development in react native. Empowered to take initiative on projects and do your best work. Great people with amazing variety of personalities to work with daily. Never a dull day at The Distance

Cons

Agency work is not for everyone, it's demanding but for the right people it's perfect. There's beauty in variety but there's also a lot of unknown, you must be willing, brave, accountable and adventurous to work in a place like this.

Pros

Great place to work with a friendly, diverse team. The opportunity to work with a wide range of apps to bring the creative designs to life is rewarding.

Cons

The agency work style may not suit everyone's taste - be prepared to let go of your baby (app!) once it's ready to venture in to the great wide App Store!

Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed working for The Distance and was sad to go. For me the benefits were: * Diverse and friendly team * Great office culture * High spec equipment * Ensured we had all equipment needed to work comfortably and efficiently at home * Varied and interesting projects * Regular social meet ups (pre covid) * Well defined process for new business and lifecycle of project * Learn a lot and gain a lot of experience through the variety of projects * Training courses available to employees * Regular company meetings on state of business and forum to express views and suggestions * MD is very creative and active in the company which leads to an influx of interesting and industry varied projects * Company take mental health and wellbeing very seriously, there was always someone I could talk to if needed

Cons

There's not many cons I can think of; * Not a lot of time for learning/training during working hours, need to learn on your feet often - the plus side is you learn a lot and gain experience quickly, but can be a bit stressful * Work pace is quite fast and varies on a daily basis - I enjoyed this, but it's not to everyone's taste * During the pandemic, while WFH - Work-life balance could be hard to maintain, but management are approachable and empathetic. * Perks package could be improved
