Pros

Fun institution, I'd recommend visiting but DO NOT work there. The only pro I can think of are the employee benefits like getting into the venue you work at for free. I was hired to work at the Gardens and wasn't scheduled there ONCE. The managers seem fun and nice at first, but it's all fake because they will tear you apart with their judgement.

Cons

Contradicting and arbitrary dress code rules, inefficient enforcement of the rules, poor communication, managers were immature and dramatic, poor scheduling, very gossipy, fake nice, judgemental, Mormon run company, VERY conservative... Like they'll get you in trouble if you tuck your shirt in and then they'll talk about you behind your back. And I hadn't even worked there a full month yet! Not the safe and loving environment I hoped for.

Pros

Great team members, awesome guests, and a feeling a safety while at work. Employment includes a membership which is nice for bringing families.

Cons

Low salaries unless you work in the upper and senior management. Senior management says one thing and does another. They have no unified effort or vision. Benefits are also expensive compared to other companies.

Incredibly rewarding and fulfilling

Pros

This place can be very rewarding when you are playing with families and genuinely seeing the great time they are having. Being able to make a difference with their day, regardless of how big or small, is incredibly fulfilling. It even reminds you that even as an adult, you can still learn and have fun while doing it. You may be able to rediscover your passions which will help you with your regular job duties.

Cons

The communication and responsibilities can be tough. Some days you won't know what is going on until last minute which increases the stress amongst the employees. Yes this can happen with many companies, but if you want to ensure that empathy is spread towards customers, it's important for the employees to have that towards each other as well. Scheduling can be incredibly difficult especially if you are not used to having it steady. You are required to have your days requested off within a certain amount of time and they are supposed to have your schedule done weeks in advance. What makes it difficult is when your schedule still isn't cemented even after the time it's scheduled. I get that emergencies happen, but sometimes it feels that it isn't as 2 sided.
