Pros

Cool office and cool people Generous pto Possibility to work from anywhere

Cons

Highly disorganized company. The strangest org. structure with 3 CEO (who are the co-founders), and an executive team that is not bringing anything to the table. There is no clear business vision, and strategy. Decisions are taken on a whim, putting a lot of pressure at the operational level. Very sketchy business model. Highly toxic work environment created and nurtured by the founders and leadership that's been there from the beginning. They fear change and lack emotional intelligence. Culture of negative competition between teams and countries (shouldn't we all be working towards the same goal?) Lots of manipulation and politics. To get a promotion, you have to be close to one of the founder, regardless of skills and abilities. Huge internal inequities and salary gaps. Clear lack of recognition. Close to 0 work life balance. A norm to work after-hours, during the week-end and on your vacation. You are expected to be available 24/7.

Pros

-Vacation time and office space

Cons

-Wildly unequal salary distribution -Inept and callous management -Zero transparency about employees closed work permit statuses, raises, company goals, basically everything -Zero training or opportunities for career growth -Anything that could be considered "career growth" is really an opportunity for you to work more without a change in title or compensation while they dangle the idea of a raise over your head -Constant remarks about protecting the amazing "company culture" which has never been defined but as far as I can tell is actually just a culture of fear - fear of losing your job and fear of toxic management lashing out at you in incredibly unprofessional ways -Promotions are only for people who are buddy buddy with a CEO (there were three CEOs up until very recently) The only thing I have to thank this place for is making friends through commiserating. Do not work for this company if you would like to keep your sanity intact.

Pros

Good vacation days, the office spaces are pretty nice.

Cons

This is hands-down the worst and most toxic working environment I have ever experienced. Working here has actively made me a dumber person, and I feel like I’ve significantly regressed in my career after this experience. At Talent, you are not encouraged to grow as a person and as an employee because that might mean acquiring or developing new skills that your manager does not have, which is seen as a direct threat to their authority. Similarly, being hired with experience or skills that your manager lacks is also seen as a threat to them, even though you were hired for that exact purpose. Rather than nourishing and fostering a warm and welcoming environment for growth, managers are insecure, lack emotional intelligence, and fear any change that undermines their positions. There is 0 career training, 0 mentorship, 0 goal setting, and 0 growth for employees. It is a common occurrence to be publicly berated by your manager for faults they committed or approved, just so they can save face with the owners (in team meetings or in the office in front of everyone). Micromanagement is the name of the game here at Talent. You as an employee are never trusted to do anything without several levels of management directly observing your every move, and they will never shy away from an opportunity to point out how bad your work is while offering no constructive advice or improvements. Every single conversation is a confrontation with someone. And the worst part is that nothing can be done about any of these issues because this toxic culture of fear and of keeping others down is directly caused and encouraged by the three owners and the senior management team who pat themselves on the back after every serious blunder. Run, unless you are looking to regress in your career and mental health.
