Pros
Good vacation days, the office spaces are pretty nice.
Cons
This is hands-down the worst and most toxic working environment I have ever experienced. Working here has actively made me a dumber person, and I feel like I’ve significantly regressed in my career after this experience. At Talent, you are not encouraged to grow as a person and as an employee because that might mean acquiring or developing new skills that your manager does not have, which is seen as a direct threat to their authority. Similarly, being hired with experience or skills that your manager lacks is also seen as a threat to them, even though you were hired for that exact purpose. Rather than nourishing and fostering a warm and welcoming environment for growth, managers are insecure, lack emotional intelligence, and fear any change that undermines their positions. There is 0 career training, 0 mentorship, 0 goal setting, and 0 growth for employees. It is a common occurrence to be publicly berated by your manager for faults they committed or approved, just so they can save face with the owners (in team meetings or in the office in front of everyone). Micromanagement is the name of the game here at Talent. You as an employee are never trusted to do anything without several levels of management directly observing your every move, and they will never shy away from an opportunity to point out how bad your work is while offering no constructive advice or improvements. Every single conversation is a confrontation with someone. And the worst part is that nothing can be done about any of these issues because this toxic culture of fear and of keeping others down is directly caused and encouraged by the three owners and the senior management team who pat themselves on the back after every serious blunder. Run, unless you are looking to regress in your career and mental health.
