      Free canteen, good benefits package, hybrid working

      Cons

      If your face fits. Racist, bigoted, discriminatory attitudes towards staff, both shop floor and office. Heavy layer of middle management to protect the higher-ups from finding out what is really happening. Lots of finger pointing and blame appointed. Corruption is also rife.

      A lesson in what a supportive culture looks like. Unfortunately, I learned it after leaving.

      - Interesting sector with ambitious digital transformation plans. - Exposure to ERP and warehouse automation technology. - Some good people doing their best within constraints.

      Cons

      - Lack of structured onboarding or guidance for new hires. - Poor stakeholder alignment. Frequent feedback but little support. - Probation process felt reactive rather than developmental. - Expected to deliver in systems with minimal training. I was directed to watch YouTube videos and read opaque documentation while formal training was declined by the business when requested. - Felt micromanaged at times, but also unclear about what success looked like. - Minimal investment in autonomy, relatedness, or competence. The “ARC” that makes work feel meaningful.
