Pros

Shakepay has so much to offer for all types of people. If you're into Crypto / Bitcoin, it's an amazing place to be and grow as part of a truly passionated team. If you're looking for a technical challenge and adding tools to your arsenal; As part of Engineering, there's more than enough challenges to tackles, ideas to bring to life, products to bring to market, refine and maintain. It's a fast moving and growing team, not for the faint of heart, which I personally love, but not for everyone. There's so much room to learn and grow, if you're putting in the effort, have ideas, strongly held opinions -- loosely held, you'll be a total fit. There's also a super high density of extremely talent people, in each and every team. Which work closely together, collaborate and bring cool sh!t to market. I've been here for a bit, and still, to this day, it's so cool seeing such a small team accomplish so much, so quickly. Can't recommend this place enough.

Cons

As with any highly performant team and startup, you have to be your own safeguard against overworking. Yes overtime is appreciated when required, but ultimately, it's your job to balance things out; Work hard when it's required, take breaks when things cool down. Rinse and repeat. If what you do is nothing but overworking, you'll crash and burn. It's an easy trap to fall into, when working with passionated people, but definitely to be avoided. Thankfully managers do, for the most part, keep their reports accountable and ensure they take vacation, long weekends, etc.
