Warfare with Silos and Politics

Pros

Great benefits. Growing company. Large scale in the ad-tech industry. Good compensation. Not sleazy like most other ad-tech companies.

Cons

Toxic politics. Blaming people outside of your Silo is required to be rewarded by your clan chieftain. CEO is not involved and out-of-touch with what's going on day-to-day operations and management. President isn't really in control to make touch decisions against the Silo chieftains. Everything is controlled from HQ in LA.

Pros

-the people in the Toronto office are all awesome, young, smart -free lunches, unlimited snacks and beer fridge -Mac laptops -great location

Cons

-senior leadership is a revolving door of people who have no clue -0 chance of career growth -company is so disorganized and fragmented; good luck trying to get a hold of someone who doesn't work on your product -you're just a number, HR/management doesn't care about you or your career growth -no diversity in leadership (all old white males) -so many internal politics that nothing gets done -no innovation; still trying to figure out why they acquired Chango and Shiny Ads -they would rather layoff valuable people and keep useless ones just because they have been at the company longer -the only people that get promoted are sales people -CEO so far removed from the business; after the acquisition of Chango he didn't even visit the office (nor did he ever) -over 30 people in the Toronto office have either quit or gotten laid off since January and they haven't hired any replacements...the writing is on the wall
