Good company to work for

Pros

Good account management support unlike other consulting companies where your account manager may barely know you and what you do. Fair pay and benefits and 401k matching.

Cons

Mostly contract roles for one software company in Redmond

Excellent company for remote work

Pros

In addition to internal FTEs, Red Door hires employees to be contracted out as vendors, but you don't have to find your own clients. I feel very supported in my work and have complete autonomy to do what I need for the client team I work with. Management is there when I need them, but otherwise I set my own schedule and manage my time and projects according to client needs. Red Door is completely remote, so no internal travel requirements. And even though we're not all in an office together, the CEO truly cares about each employee and strives for good company culture.

Cons

We have a full suite of benefits, which is great, but the cost of health care is pretty high (though I suppose you see that most places).

Thank you for providing this feedback; we're always looking at how to manage best the rising costs of health insurance across the organization and ensure we have multiple options to meet individual employees' needs as best as possible. We'll continue to try to expand our insurance offerings and manage rising costs as best as we can.

Best company I've ever worked for

Pros

I've worked here for 8 years and the time has flown by. The owner is passionate about employees and puts people first which directly impacts the overall culture of the company. Work-life balance exists here and the people in the company are great to work with. The company is growing, not too fast and not too slow to ensure the culture that's been established isn't lost. I really appreciate that approach rather than growing too much, too fast.

Cons

As a majority of the work is contract work, there's always a level of uncertainty.
