Pros

Not a lot of pros to speak of. The pay is very standard, or even a little below the average. Co-workers are nice but they seem scared of something, or they are beat down. Nice office space but not enough room for employees.

Cons

The amount of nepotism is disgusting. You're treated like scum if you aren't a relative. Senior execs who meddle in departments they have no business getting involved in. Long hours, no "thank you", no culture to speak of. Not an organization that is committed to learning. No respect for their employees. No process or policies. HR is non-existent. Every department works in a vacuum. Hard to make recommendations because management doesn't want to hear it. A lot of "pretending" to be cutting-edge, your software doesn't work properly...work on that!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your experience with the company was not what you expected. Being that you may have been with the company awhile back, as the Human Resources department has been operational since 2013, many items you raise have been addressed. It is true that the space in the office is slowly running out, but recent rearrangements of the floor plans have allowed for much more efficiency in use. We do recognize that as a growing company, moving to a new space will be required and the look is on. While the company is family owned- this not discount the fact that we pride ourselves on external talent and truly do value the opinions of all of our employees. The RamSoft culture focuses on teamwork and open communication whereby you work closely with your manager and team, thus fostering interaction. We love to host company celebrations so that the entire team can get together and interact on social levels as well, so we are sorry that you did not experience this while you were here. We are working everyday to make the work environment better for our employees. Thank you again. Human Resources

Pros

Technical staff are listened to, and discussion is based on technical merits of your ideas, not on who you are and how you rate. The core Product line is solid, company is solid, management team is really sharp, and team is made up of good people, competent and friendly. Senior staff and leadership are good people. Working on Radiology software is interesting and challenging.

Cons

Can be a demanding working environment, working on a product in the healthcare sector is not for every developer out there. The product is complex, technically deep, the code-base is enormous, and the potential for engineering mistakes makes working on this product riskier, and perhaps more stressful, than working on software that manages inventory for some retail chain, for instance.

Pros

- Downtown location - Friendly co-workers - Hybrid Work Environment (But it becomes challenging if your team has members in India....good luck)

Cons

A classic case study of how a 20 year old tech company didn't make it big Nepotism is at its peak and is disgusting. No voice is heard or any concern addressed. You're in a tight spot if you aren't a relative or disagree with those who suck up to the owners Senior execs whose own teams aren't performing meddle in other departments and preach as experts without realizing they have no business getting involved in. They are rather endorsed and supported by the owners. Very toxic culture right from the top No respect for the employees. They embrace Hire and Fire policy with no feedback, performance enhancement, no process or policies. High turn-over. HR is still non-existent or is seriously powerless since everything is decided or vetoed by the owners Teams are over-worked and it is difficult to make recommendations because management (the family and their "yes men") doesn't want to hear it. The owners will call you way late after-hours and make you sound irresponsible because for them you need to be working 24/7 The employee engagement is super low, no one speaks up. Everyone is scared and leadership doesn't care Product doesn't work and sales are struggling. Many leadership folks are not even on social media!!OMG...red flag red flag!!

A lot has changed in RamSoft during this past year. The culture has returned to the old RamSoft culture.
