Nice Compensation, Poor Culture

Pros

Good pay, nice location and office, good benefits, always closing deals, transparency about how the business is doing.

Cons

Long hours, hard commute, not enough women, a good place for young men who like video games & reddit, not enough work-life balance, no WFH flexibility, bad culture fit.

Pros

Engineers on the team are great, team culture still has remnants of things before they went downhill. Non management is very friendly and talented.

Cons

Engineers are underpaid, new CTO is a classic MBA type says a lot without saying anything. Strategy is constantly shifting, leadership is very political and not data driven. Management lies to their employees constantly and continues to take away benefits. Company used to be a great place to work, however since Private Equity bought in, Its hard to recommend.

Pros

It’s a great place to work with a very horizontal feel. You can make contributions and see them happen during your tenure. Friday lunch once a month, video games played at lunch, casual dress code, very easy to talk to anyone at the company from NYC or London, great people, chill feel, dog friendly office, free wine, beer, coffee, and tea.

Cons

No more weekly Friday lunches, hard to get promoted, sub-pay pay, no such thing as work from home.
