Pros

An exciting product. Fully remote. Very organized SDR manager.

Cons

No equity, no 401k, obvious internal conflict over direction of sales/marketing ops, lack of commitment. Unachievable quota, with no ramp aside from a draw for the first month. I came into this role to be their first stateside SDR hire and help get that dept up and running. Technically they had one person in the SDR role already but he was international and they were looking for someone state-side to handle sales outreach. During the interview process, this was made to seem like an incredible opportunity with huge income potential. After starting, however, the cracks in their expectations started to become clear. The primary issue with the quota and production expectation. Since this was a new role, the quota was constantly fluctuating. There was disagreement on how inbound vs outbound meetings booked should be classified. My quota went from 7 outbound opportunities created with accelerators to a schedule that included inbounds and outbound combined with what would've been a monthly quota of 20(!!) by December. (deal size is $60-120k ARR btw) Since other sales reps had been doing outbound work and no one had created more than 5 oppties in a month, I should've realized right then that the expectations for this role and dept were entirely unreasonable. Frankly though, I assumed, that their expectations would just get adjusted or we'd tweak the program to yield better results. What I did not expect was for them to can the SDR outbound program in 2 months and 3 weeks . No negative performance review, no severance. Just a harsh and abrupt goodbye. If you're not familiar with sales roles, you typically get AT LEAST 3 months to fully ramp up into your quota and start producing average results. That they eliminated the role in the time they did, along with the absurd quota expectations, tells me that Measured leadership is very inexperienced with sales/marketing operations/expectations. If you're looking at a sales role or a "new" position at Measured, I would advise against it.
