On the job training
Reasonable pay for the work
Fun, kind and understanding crew and management
Learn a lot of practical skills
Work on lots of very cool projects
Cons
The implied dangers of being a woodworker
Work 50hrs/week
Top notch woodworking, clean and safe shop, lots of great people. Excellent apprentice training.
Cons
High quality standards and performance expectations not reflected in pay - lots of red tape to gain a promotion. Lots of great people here, but upper management does little to foster a sense of teamwork or appreciation for hard work.
