Pros

Top notch woodworking, clean and safe shop, lots of great people. Excellent apprentice training.

Cons

High quality standards and performance expectations not reflected in pay - lots of red tape to gain a promotion. Lots of great people here, but upper management does little to foster a sense of teamwork or appreciation for hard work.

Pros

Good compensation overall. Very good worker camaraderie.

Cons

Not much time passed before I came to regret my decision to accept a position at this company. While the workers get along very well and collaborate with each other, all working hard to do their job, I quickly found the management culture and practices to be frustrating and degrading. Respectful exchange with management was rare for me. The compensation was sufficient for me to bear down while patiently seeking a better opportunity. I’m glad to have found one, but sorry to leave my co-workers. If you are looking for a company that is open to collaboration and the resulting benefit of practical, organizational, and technical advancement - one that embraces the consideration of ideas and methods they are not implementing... I suggest that this might not be the place. It surely was not for me.
