Pros

Decent pay, solid group of employees with a high percentage coming directly from K12.

Cons

Lack of systems and when one is built little enablement. Goals and work load change nearly weekly if not daily. Since many come from K12 there is a more comfort with using brute force and accepting the current pay/equity, rather than developing systems or paying employees closer to the valuation of the company. Though they are early stage, there is little opportunity for cross team collaboration and the org is pretty hierarchical.

Pros

Great mission, great people, and the forward-thinking, brilliant, good at his core CEO is there, you really feel connected to the mission. The platform is amazing and sells itself, to those in the educational systems that are onboard with AI.

Cons

Fast-growing company with some large growing pains that don't seem to be slowing down. Territory rearrangements, unrealistic quotas made up out of thin air, with no historical YoY data to base them on, and completely regional-specific. Like I said above, the product will sell itself if you are in the right state. If you are in an AI-hesitant region, you will have a completely different experience and thus will be treated as such. High performers with virtually no sales experience are being given a hot patch like a silver platter and you are expected to catch up, while being given next to no support, training, or sales playbook.

Thank you for sharing this so openly, and it's clear you care deeply about the mission and the product. The challenges you've described around ramp, quota-setting, and regional inconsistencies are real growing pains that deserve serious attention, and we appreciate you naming them so directly. Feedback like this is exactly what helps leadership prioritize the right investments in our sales infrastructure as we scale.

Pros

Purposeful work: Clear mission to make teachers’ lives easier with AI; educators respond well to tools like IEP support, analytics, and student tools when they see them in action. Product velocity: Fast iteration and a receptive product team; customer feedback can turn into shipped features quickly. Ownership: True AE autonomy—prospecting strategy, multithreading, and running full-cycle deals with districts and charters. Smart teammates: Colleagues are helpful, scrappy, and passionate about K-12.

Cons

Steep ramp & shifting targets: Expectations and KPIs can change quickly; short runway to hit full productivity in public-sector sales cycles that are inherently long. Territory dynamics: Smaller-district focus and fluctuating enrollments can limit ASP and create forecasting whiplash; patch adjustments happen fast. Enablement gaps: Sales motion, ICP, and procurement playbooks aren’t always fully documented; more structured onboarding and talk tracks for budget, security, and evaluation would help. Cross-time-zone comms: Fast decisions can outpace documentation; clarity on “what changed and why” doesn’t always reach the field.
