Pros

They have chocolate chip cookies at 3pm.

Cons

After 10 years of experience in the visual effects industry, this company is by far the most lying, cheapest and diabolical studio in the word. I did feel they wanted to make the new fledgling Montreal studio the exception: however it quickly became corrupted like the rest of the company due to its obsession with cutting costs. Those who had their contracts arbitrarily shortened "just happened" to be intermediates or seniors who are non Quebecois (translation: they cost more to employ and do not receive as much tax subsidies for those employees). Once the opportunity arises they will replace you with 3 juniors before you can say "Vive le Quebec libre."

Pros

some good projects looks good on resume

Cons

lowest pay among the industry 90% of staff is juniors too many leads and sups really long hours with leads breathing down your neck, expecting updates round the clock zero social life overtime food that never arrives on time (read 11pm) coordinators with bigger ego stroking than sups one big floor for everyone with nowhere to hide, not even the toilets expected to work 6 a days a week and hit 60+ hours weekly on average expected to be on time sharp 9am, 2pm, etc no direct internet connection with speeds that can't rival Cambodia (been there) worst pipeline among the studios that I have ever seen

Pros

- free cookies, fruits and coffee - you can find really talented and nice people - feature film experience

Cons

- they are cheap, 16-20$ per hr. for most of their artists - "yes man culture" Dont expect from them some good manners, if you say "no" you will have some troubles. - their pipeline is inefficient "a pipe without line". Just because of that you have to spent 80% of your own time to make simple things to work - prepare yourself to work 10-12 hrs each day. Which is illegal of course, but for some artists who came from many different countries it's fine, some of them ready to sacrifice their time in exchange for demo reel where they did only 10% of entire shot. - insufficient render farm - very bad communication between departments (if you have a problem that needs to be fixed by other department you have to send a ticket immediately, otherwise you will have trouble because someone's like layout department never check what they send to you)
