Pros

I loved working on Pearl st. Incredible guests that take care of you and a fun environment that was fueled by coworkers

Cons

Your attitude determines your shifts. While this sounds common ground, this is taken to an extreme level. People get “punished” by getting their shifts taken and many were fired over bringing up valid concerns regarding their experience at Japango. I’ve worked over a decade in service and I’ve never seen such covert management style. You tip out 10% of your sales to bar, FOH, and kitchen. You need to be available full time, there’s over 15 servers, yet they don’t allow you any form of scheduling preference.

Pros

The staff is super welcoming and caring for each other. Weekend nights the money is good.

Cons

Weekday lunches are a complete waste of your time and management/ownership is toxic.

Pros

Good money and some friendly co workers.

Cons

Very harsh management that has 0 understanding for minor mistakes. I was a hard working, honest, employee for 8 months. I picked up shifts, closed every shift, and came in last minute on weekends. They fired me over a simple error. Meanwhile management is snorting coke in the back and waitresses are popping pills on the job behind the counter…. They have bigger fish to fry…. Literally.
