Upper management needs a reality check

Pros

Many genuinely nice people, yearly international trip, work from home/hybrid

Cons

The upper management in the company is ENTIRELY out of connection with reality. They expect everyone, especially the Operations team, to put on insane hours, *without* any paid OT, bonus or even a compensation that's anywhere above the market standard. All in the name of "keeping the company afloat". I'm absolutely tired and will get out of there as soon as possible (have been in the company for 2+ years, at least half of which I regret). Also, upper management (basically directors and above) form a clique that relentlessly judges everyone else in the company, even those with a pay grade and responsibilities that do not even compare to theirs.

A Sinking Ship...

Pros

- Free Parking On-Site - Hybrid Work Model - Annual Company Trip to Mexico - CEO Days ( 2 bonus days off over the holidays)

Cons

Where to even begin. The CEO is an antagonistic bully. The VP of HR has a knack for making inappropriate remarks. There's no one to go to or escalate issues to because of this. There's an air our chauvinism that can't be denied. It is easy to feel emotionally unsafe in this type of environment. The culture is toxic. Long hours, overtime expected, high pressure, scrutiny around requests for leave and sick days. The departments are siloed, interdepartmental collaboration is tenuous. Gossip is rampant. Expectations are unrealistic. Executive Leadership has no clear vision or direction. The company has sunken millions into developing a suite of ineffective and unremarkable SaaS products. The benefits are some of the worst I've experienced in all my professional life. Astronomical to pay for, and the coverage is subpar. No annual bonuses, no annual pay reviews. Vacation and sick policies leave something to be desired.

Thanks for your feedback, anonymous. I agree with you that there are many bright and good people working at Intouch, and we’re also proud of the gender diversity we experience here. With a workforce made up of nearly 70% women, and similar splits in our management team (70% women) and leadership team (50%), we benefit from a wonderful diversity of perspective at all levels, which makes this such a great environment to work in. Regarding your other comments, we understand that when the organization makes difficult personnel decisions it can have a negative impact. We do, however, appreciate your efforts over the years and wish you nothing but success in your career.
