Pros

Amazing work culture and great people. Everyone is always willing to help and is genuinely motivated to improve our products. I always feel like I can get support and guidance whenever I need it. The company puts a lot of effort into personal growth alongside its rapid expansion. Nearly every day brings some kind of learning in my experience. There is also a lot of flexibility when it comes to remote work. As long as you get your work done, working from home occasionally is perfectly fine—but with an office view of the sea, why wouldn’t you want to come in?

Cons

Salary: Despite claims of offering competitive salaries within the iGaming industry in Malta, this does not seem to be the case. The main reason I find this acceptable is the incredible opportunities for growth and the positive atmosphere within the company.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re pleased to hear that your experience at Fast Track reflects the culture we work hard to build. One where collaboration, support, and continuous learning are part of everyday life. Creating an environment where people feel empowered to grow while contributing to meaningful work is a priority for us, so it’s great to see that coming through. We also appreciate your honest feedback on compensation. As we continue to scale, ensuring that our rewards structure evolves alongside both the market and the expectations of our team is something we take seriously. Attracting and retaining high performers requires the right balance across growth opportunities, culture, and competitive remuneration and we know there’s always more to refine. Thanks again for your feedback and for being part of this journey!

Pros

I spent a very great time in FT and I truly believe that the people are the true added value of the company. In my area of competence, I always felt supported both by my team leader and colleagues. The environment is very friendly and I never experienced any friction with either co-workers or the management. There is also a lot of flexibility: despite having an office-first policy, I have never had issues working from home, as long as the job was getting done. I always had the feeling that the company is very ambitious, as it wants to expand and improve the product, while also taking into account the wellbeing of its employees. This is a very positive element that makes Fast Track really stand out.

Cons

There is no clear career improvement path. I had many meetings with both my direct manager and HR on this topic. I asked which goals I should have reached, in order to develop my role further, but I never had proper guidance and ultimately did not lead to any tangible progress. Some procedures might feel too rigid and slow, but the team is constantly working to improve the efficiency of the different streams.

Pros

Depending on the team, you’ll find a positive work atmosphere. Offices are well equipped. The company organizes regular events.

Cons

The company culture isn’t well standardized across teams, which creates a lot of friction depending on your profile. You might land in a supportive, high-trust team — or the complete opposite: a shady, micromanaged environment driven by a lack of trust. Some tech leads (especially in Sliema) operate with a very top-down, old-school hierarchy: “Just execute, don’t ask questions, don’t complain.” That mindset feels pretty outdated for a tech company in 2026. A lot of people have ideas, feedback, or valid concerns about how things could be improved. The response is almost always the same: “Thanks, but focus on the work.” Sure, work needs to get done, but unresolved issues keep piling up, and nothing really changes. The pressure often feels unnecessary and self-inflicted. Tech leads sometimes commit to things the team doesn’t agree with or hasn’t properly assessed for risks. Because of the rigid hierarchy, these decisions go unchallenged, which creates stress and avoidable problems — the team ends up owning decisions they never discussed or approved. At the end of the day, your experience here really depends on the mindset you’re looking for and how comfortable you are working in a very hierarchical environment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate the honesty, particularly from someone who’s been part of Fast Track for several years. As we’ve grown and continue to grow, consistency in leadership and ways of working across teams has been a real focus, and we recognise there’s more to do. A high-trust environment, open dialogue, and strong people leadership should be the standard everywhere, not dependent on team or location. Your feedback is heard and helps inform how we continue to strengthen leadership capability as the company evolves. Thank you for contributing to that conversation. We wish you continued success going forward. Should you wish to share further context or feedback, you’re welcome to reach out to our People Growth team directly so we can support the discussion.
