Pros

As other reviewers have indicated, there are some superficial perks: Food, coffee, apple products, equity, happy-hours, team lunches, etc. I also made some good personal connections with folks working there.

Cons

Definitely agree with the other reviewer on some key points like: Having to walk on egg shells and an overall lack of direction due to disorganization. As an employee, this worried me most as another reviewer indicated and I saw first hand, "People have left or were fired unexpectedly with zero notice leaving some feeling uneasy." Good employees at Zignal have been cut loose for no apparent reason, people everyone (from my estimation) enjoyed working with and were great contributors. Most curious, was several of these employees were fired weeks prior to them being fully vested in their company stock. This was both confusing and frustrating for many, and also scary in terms of job security. No explanation was ever given by management to ease peoples minds, it was like any person let go had never existed. Overall, there are some other concerning things at Zignal that became very apparent over time. There is a huge conflict of interest between sales, product and outside stakeholders for the direction of the product. This division within the company creates a lot of tension and an incohesive atmosphere. Not to mention timelines and promises to clients being missed due to countless pivots in the product roadmap. (And engineers wasting time on features/updates that get thrown out on a last minute whim)

Pros

I don't believe there is a good reason to work here anymore.

Cons

I was disenchanted with leadership when I left a while back. I wanted to write this review then, however I took a breath to be fair...I'm still shocked and appalled by what this company became. Zignal - at one point in time - was one of the companies disrupting the media monitoring (for lack of a better term) industry, forcing the old & stagnant platforms to adjust. We won some huge logos - Accenture, IBM, JPMorgan, Prudential - and had a ton of momentum which out of nowhere seemed to come to a slow. Then within a tight time-frame the head of sales, CRO, and the CEO left, followed by the CTO a bit later. Which was pretty much a bulk of the influential leadership within Zignal. FF to year or so later, for some reason the board gave the keys to the company to the head of Services who is an inexperienced and ineffective leader...the word "leader" used very loosely...and her lacky. Neither of whom was part of any notable account or win or decision made at Zignal, yet they ran the show along with the new CEO, who is as equally ineffective. Accounts are being lost left and right, yet nobody in a leadership role seems to get any blame.
