Pros
Pay is great with great bonus potential if you have the right manager. Benefits are also good. I liked my opportunities to try new projects and collaborate with new teams. Hybrid work schedule is an OK benefit.
Cons
New York leadership has encouraged an incredibly toxic culture. People are incentivized to throw others under the bus. In the Wealth Management business, the leadership is so far removed from what's important to the advisor business, and then bends over backwards in all the wrong ways to accommodate ridiculous advisor requests for FAs who end up leaving within 6 months. The regulatory issues the bank has faced in the past decade has left teams with needing to implement new policies and procedures that are impossible to manage to. Also the shift from remote work and focus on the new location strategy has forced tens of thousands of people out or displaced, and left the rest of us shouldering the burden of an increased workload. And the location strategy has prevented people in "non-core" locations from building their careers across the company.
