Pros

Some employees genuinely want to help customers, but the toxic culture makes it hard. The benefits package is decent.

Cons

Wells Fargo presents itself as an inclusive and ethical company, but the reality inside is far different. The work environment is toxic, leadership is incompetent, and favoritism is rampant. If you’re looking for fair treatment, professional growth, or a company that values integrity, look elsewhere. Key Issues: * Workplace Favoritism & DEI Issues Wells Fargo’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts are performative—instead of fostering real diversity, hiring and promotions are often based on connections and favoritism rather than merit. Employees from certain backgrounds receive preferential treatment, while others—especially those who question unethical practices—are marginalized. Discrimination complaints are ignored. HR exists to protect management, not employees. *Toxic Leadership & Unethical Practices Nepotism and favoritism rule here. Hardworking, qualified employees are overlooked while less competent individuals are promoted based on personal relationships. Leadership covers up misconduct rather than addressing it. Reports of unethical behavior—including financial mismanagement—are swept under the rug. Retaliation is common. If you speak up about wrongdoing, expect to be targeted or pushed out. * Horrible Work Environment & Lack of Support Understaffed and overworked employees are expected to carry the burden of incompetent management. High turnover because employees either quit due to burnout or are unfairly terminated. No real career growth—promotions are based on favoritism, not performance. * No Job Security & HR Protects Management Employees are fired for arbitrary reasons while actual misconduct is ignored. HR does nothing to support employees. Complaints about workplace discrimination, unethical behavior, and retaliation go nowhere. Bottom Line: Wells Fargo is a corrupt, dysfunctional workplace where talent is ignored, integrity is punished, and management protects its own interests at the expense of employees. If you want to work in a company that values fairness, growth, and ethics, stay far away.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
