Pros
It’s a decent job, I get to work from home, and made a few friends. Bonus is decent if you can earn it.
Cons
Disciplinary actions never expire from your employee record. It makes it feel like Wayfair isn’t trying to keep employees long term. Metrics are becoming impossible to meet, which means no bonus and more disciplinary action. Management is untrained, service is constantly changing without the additional training needed. My manager is likely the age of my grandmother, I have to constantly teaching my manager new things or over explaining simple tasks. Little-to-no control over schedules- you work whenever they tell you too with as little as 24hr notice. A mandated schedule bid a month after I started a new schedule. No explanation or conversations about benefits after your training when you’re first hired. Not only do you have metrics to meet each month, but they accumulate points, if your metrics are fine but you don’t get enough points, more disciplinary action. You earn time off but can’t use it half the time because we also earn points for absences. PTO is used without permission from the employee, and attendance points still accumulate for these absences. My PTO was also incorrectly accumulating for about 5 years give or take. I addressed it for years and I wasn’t taken serious until I threaten to report it. I was missing over 150hrs of PTO and they never confirmed the amount of PTO I’m supposed to earn every year, and believe it is still not accumulating accurately.
