Pros
- Base pay is above industry standard - Initial stock payout was good - They manage some complex supply chains
Cons
- This is not a org that manages scale, so dont join if you want to see scale or engineering prowess - It is impossible to grow in the organization , promotions are rare - Its like a government job, most folks dont work or want to work and they can chug along. The ones who work are overworked and burnt out - Infested in politics as Boston wants to be in control of the India teams - Projects get scrapped mid way - Product management is non existent. Most product managers in supply chain division are not fit to be product managers, some dont know what it is to write a product spec, they want engineering to help them do their job - Most senior leaders just run in zombie mode and are yes masters to their site leader or boston management - Boston leaders are old gooses who play a lot of politics to ensure india teams dont look good. they dont want india teams to succeed - Most engineers do a 10 am to 4 pm job with multiple tea breaks and game room time, so they seldom are working but want all the perks. Most leaders just want people count to make themselves look good rather than look at productivity - Work is very boring, most teams are breaking monolith to microservices and the data is spread across tables that have 500-600 columns. Clueless who owns what data - Business has no clue to be a tech first company and they dont know their business either. Most leaders want to buy vendor products and customize that into the existing domain
