Pros

The people that worked in my department were friendly. The customers, for the most part, were approachable and nice. I liked the managers of the consumable departments were cool and were willing to listen to your concerns. And there were opportunities for promotions for the better associates.

Cons

Management, in general, expected too much from employees. They expect you to wait on customers, stock several pallets of freight, do counts on the shelves, pick and bin freight from the stock room, and ring on the registers all at the same time and oftentimes with only one person in the department. And each manager would tell you to do something different and wouldn't communicate with each other. And some managers would play favorites and not hold all the associates to th3 same standards.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
