Pros

Good benefits, stable company to work for

Cons

Management is too worried how the store looks on paper not how it truely functions and appears to customers. Management need to be reminded that "respect for the individual" (a Wal-Mart basic belief) begins with them and all associates have lives outside of the company. There is an extreme amount of favoritism in the store. It seems the quality of assistant managers promoted in the past few has declined. They are not knowlegable of store proceedures, they are disrespectful of associates and many want to control the associates entire life. The make it as difficult as posible to request time off to make plans by not approving and finalizing time off in a timely manner.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
