Pros

The work is usually pretty simple and it doesn't involve any real complicated skills or intensive training. It is a good job for unexperienced people to enter into the workforce for the first time.

Cons

The wages are generally minimum, or barely above the minimum. Unless you set your availablility to a very specific shift, they will schedule you at random times, with no predictability, and varying hours from week to week. I would work 3-11pm several days in one week, along with a 4-8pm and 10-7pm shift and the next week would work all 4 hour shifts.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
