A career that pays decently with room for advancement, but is not challenging or professionally fulfilling. - Market Analyst Thomson Reuters Employee Review

Pros

TR has quite generous vacation time off and also good health care benefits. The people that you work with are generally very nice and it is a quiet and low-stress work environment for the most part.

Cons

I found that the work itself was quite mundane and not challenging or fulfilling. I had a degree in finance and business management when I joined this company out of college. Looking back I realized that it was probably a poor choice because my daily job duites turned out to be completely irrelevant from my education in finance, and I was really no more than a glorified data entry person.

Pros

Great environment and people. Lots of overtime available and bonuses during busy season.

Cons

I really enjoyed this job so the only con I can think of is that it is seasonal.

Pros

Plenty of wonderful benefits and the most competitive parental leave I have found in the US job market

Cons

Depending on the organization you work within, you could be working for leadership that expects sales reps to smooth over and fix every single mistake that is made. A lot of these mistakes are because they haven't yet recovered from acquiring new companies and they haven't absorbed CRMs and data correctly. There are many different teams to work with to get the simplest projects done. It feels like the companies values are really in place because they expect the employees to take responsibility for their lack of systems in place supporting them.
