Pros

Working from home. You do not need a landline, you can plug your headset directly into your computer to take calls!

Cons

I wish my entire experience was as seamless and smooth as the orientation. Prior to training, a huge group of people all gather in a virtual meeting room and we all log into all of the various systems we need to use, IT is there to help with the many, many issues people have along the way. Orientation was about 9 hours of making sure your computer was ready and a very brief overview of the systems you need to use. It's fast paced and went as smoothly as can be expected. But then... then comes the training. My trainer was absolutely clueless. She needed help from US almost daily to figure out simple tech issues. Training was a big waste of time, in my opinion. We weren't taught anything useful, we were told we would only be taking sales calls - NOT customer service/complaints - not the case. So being forced to read about microwaves and taking quizzes on refrigerators was a WASTE OF TIME! We should have been taught more about the programs we were expected to use and we should have done more call shadowing and role-playing. It seems like there's no one way to do things, we would be trained one day and then during call shadowing the agent would do something totally different. Every day was wasted on at least one hour of morons not being able to log into their systems. They hire absolutely anyone - people would routinely have their annoying children screaming in the background, people would be training while in their cars, they really go for the dumbest people. There is hardly any room for growth from what I could tell. And they LIE about hours - we were all told we would be getting a minimum of 30 hours weekly yet everyone in my class was ultimately only scheduled for 3 hours per day - 15 hours weekly. This comes out to about $130 a week. Not worth it... just not worth it at all. I wish I could explain in details all the incredibly odd stories I have from just the 4 weeks spent in training but that would take ages. Also, even though most of the employees seem to be black, the trainer seemed to find black names funny, couldn't keep them straight, would giggle after saying their names.... it was very troubling. One of the males in the class would talk about polishing his rifle to use on customers and training in the nude and he was never reprimanded for this bafoonery. Just a MESS!!!!!

Pros

Not a bad job for someone who needs the flexibility of working remotely.

Cons

Representatives were moved around quite a bit between different supervisors, which was both challenging and disappointing at times. It's always nice to be able to build a relationship with a set team/supervisor and be able to stick with that team for awhile.
