Pros

None. Absolutely none. At all.

Cons

HR lies. Mgmnt lies. “Incentive pay” never matches the minimum rate which is several dollars and hour below the competition. You’ll be routed 14hrs per day, everyday, and if you finish sooner your reward is more stops the next week. They refuse to reinvest in the Company, to the point that the vehicles don’t meet DOT standards, the building is falling apart, they won’t even buy 2 wheelers. Mgmnt has zero accountability, it’s commonplace for employees to have their pay shorted every week, in one case a driver had 20hrs of overtime, approved by a supervisor as part of the payroll process, “accidentally” not be paid. Mgmnt is super, super slimy and resorts to personal threats if cornered. In one case the Transportation MGR threatened to throw a driver out of a two story window. I spent 24yrs, most of them good, working at this location but finally had no choice but to quit after the clowns they brought in absolutely destroyed the work environment. Don’t believe them! Dont trust them! Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away! You’ll make more money elsewhere and still be able to live your life!

Pros

You can make money but it all depends on the orders you get, how fast you can go, how long you can maintain that pace without getting burned out. Definitely a young mans sport, as the do refer to you as "industrial athletes."

Cons

Like many industries the hours can be long. For the ones who don't make much on running above rate then you can make up for it in hours. If you soak the hours and run you can definitely make some big money. The turn over rate is extremely high there, even in management. I used to be proud of the union but the teamsters in Cleveland are completely worthless, I would bet they are getting paid under the table to not fight for contract negotiations. When I was there the contract expired and they barely fought for anything, on voting day they literally said they wont back us up if we don't pass this contract....so consider that when you want to work for this place. Also the equipment is so old and broken that people were taking the scanners home just so they could have a good one for the next night.
