Toxic work environment, irreparably broken leadership. - Manager Sony Electronics Employee Review

Pros

The only good thing about working at Sony is that anywhere you work after leaving will seem much better by comparison.

Cons

Human Resources exists to make excuses for the bad behavior of Senior Management and Executive Leadership. Bad hires remain on the payroll and are promoted because hiring managers are too arrogant to admit and fix their mistakes. Complete lack of understanding of US consumer market. Outdated management hierarchy filled by executives with personal motivations destructive to the overall organization. No set path for career advancement or development; promotions based on personal preferences rather than professional performance. Lack of work-life balance with most employees Disparity of salaries across comparable jobs and responsibility levels Backbiting that's tolerated or even encouraged

Pros

I’ve had a great experience working at this company. From day one, the culture has been supportive, collaborative, and focused on both employee growth and customer satisfaction. Leadership is approachable and genuinely values input from team members, which makes a big difference in day-to-day work.

Cons

The only minor downside is that workloads can occasionally become demanding during peak periods, which may require extra hours to stay on track. However, this tends to be temporary and is balanced by the overall supportive atmosphere and team-oriented mindset.
