Pros
Solid San Diego based company. Good patient care.
Cons
Sharp has their own version of the "good old boy network"; management and above sit in the sweet spot and anything less than management is a sour spot. Little growth opportunity. Poor leadership. High turn over. Silence is golden otherwise you are insulting big egos. CEO of Spectrum earns $950K/year + bonus + kickbacks. Kickbacks are acceptable, despite the policy and procedures they print internally. If you can play office politics like a chess game and don't have a soul, this is a good place for you. Regarding medical insurance, you are only allowed to see Sharp physicians. You are not allowed to go outside the Sharp network. Good way to circulate funds internally and receive a bias diagnosis/treatment. Regarding sick pay, PTO hours must be used until you accrue 100 hours of sick time, which takes anywhere from 18-24 months to accrue; not family friendly.
