Pros

The other SBAs, the BAs and brand reps are supportive, encouraging and just down right the best people to work with. When I resigned.

Cons

The Store management (SM and ASM) are horrible. More often than not use bullying tactics so you go along with their rubbish. Lack leadership qualities, no empathy, no support or training provided. You're just basically thrown in and expected to know everything but aren't provided the right tools to do so and then questioned why something was done incorrectly. Racism and homophobia are evident and when multiple complaints were put through to area manager and HR these complaints were ignored, brushed over or non-genuine apologies were given. There is zero room for development, upskilling or growth. And if you don't conform to their bullying tactics on the BAs, you are cast aside and told you're not good enough for your role. Don't even bother applying unless feeling like your back in high school is your thing.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!
