Pros

Working at Sephora was a great experience. The friendly staff and supportive management created a positive work environment, with timely salary payments and a rewarding commission structure based on sales performance. I enjoyed improving my communication and sales skills while promoting a range of excellent products. The store’s convenient location inside a mall, with easy access to public transport, made commuting simple. I also received farewell gifts from colleagues and managers on my last day of working, which is very kind of them. Overall, it was a rewarding place to work and grow professionally.

Cons

While working at Sephora had many positives, there were a few downsides worth noting. The fast-paced environment, especially during peak shopping times, could sometimes be overwhelming and stressful. The commission-based pay structure, while motivating, sometimes created pressure to meet sales targets, which might not suit everyone’s working style. Lastly, the store’s location in a busy mall meant that parking could be challenging for those driving to work.

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
