Management is terrible and doesn’t address anything negative going on within the store (bullying, discrimination, etc) Gossip between cast members is excessive and incredibly inappropriate. The most hostile, unwelcome environment I’ve ever worked in. I loved what I did there but wow, definitely was not worth my time or effort in the long run. Cast members in my particular store would not only help someone and immediately turn around to another employee and talk badly about the customer, but they’d do it while the customer was in earshot and probably could hear them. Management knows who’s more talented than others and they don’t care about inappropriate behavior if it’s one of their best artists.

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!
