Pros

No PRO can outweigh the many CONs.

Cons

I worked at FSC (headquarters) in the Education department. My boss was an icy micro-manager. Colleagues threw me under the bus constantly. By pointing fingers, they were able to avoid scrutiny themselves. By approaching my job with a team-oriented attitude, I set myself up to be incredibly vulnerable. I was also lied to during the interview process. The job was much different than advertised; the enjoyable tasks of my role should have been 50-70% but instead they were 5-10% and the rest was paper pushing (see comment about working under a micro-manager). They also claimed to have good work-life balance, but I was overworked to the point that I had multiple hard deadlines every single day, and everyone as far as I could tell was also completely stressed out and dumped on. When I tried to raise any of this to management, I was treated with absolute contempt and disdain, even though I know I wasn't the first person to bring some of these issues (especially the icy micro-manager) to their attention. I have been in some toxic situations before, but this one was the worst by far. RUN AWAY.

Pros

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
