Pros

Discounted makeup products. Good benefits.

Cons

The company promotes itself as highly diverse, but the actual culture felt much more insular and image-conscious than genuinely merit-based. Over time, there seemed to be a noticeable pattern of people gravitating toward and favoring those who looked, acted, or culturally mirrored themselves, especially in hiring and advancement decisions. What stood out most was the disconnect between the company’s external messaging and the reality of the environment internally. Diversity often felt more like part of the brand image than something deeply reflected in the day-to-day culture or decision-making. From my experience, the environment felt far more clique-driven and performative than truly open or inclusive.

Pros

fun getting gratis and hosting in-store events, meeting brand ambassadors/managers, socializing with clients

Cons

manager created a weird environment -- coaching moments were sometimes extremely aggressive for a retail environment; strict on not applying makeup to clients unless they purchase a service. once made me move from a disabled client quickly because I was "spending too much time with them" and to further boost the store sales. felt extremely unethical.
