Deli Clerk - Deli Clerk Safeway Employee Review

There was no moving up in the company from a deli side. Safeway merged with Albertson's and just like that the Safeway everyone used to love working for no longer provided any growth opportunities. I didn't make a penny more per hour my second year there than I did my first year so I quit, and I had worked my butt off extremely hard. Our hard work as employees gave the store manager bonuses but not even our beloved deli manager saw a bonus and neither did those of us that made the sales goals happen. Just the man on the throne who did nothing.
