Pros
Training on a new system Exposure to roles
Cons
Cannot even begin to explain how horrible working with Rexall was. Shifts were long (12 hrs), 4 of which pharmacist was entirely alone. * there were no seats at all. Only one worn out seat not even adjustable so you can’t perform any task while sitting ( differs by location). I used to go back home with severe back pain after standing for 12 hours straight. *pharmacist does everything. Data entry and checking technically and clinically. Phones pick ups, you name it- assistant that I was paired with as a new hire was really weak and I did not have enough experience with the system so it was mentally so overwhelming and stressful * have targets for services- despite denying that. They send emails daily with least performing pharmacies in the area marked in red- on my first day I was told I had to do at least 3-4 annual med reviews together with all those daunting tasks- the manager said she pushes herself to do 6 LoL * communication: tried to voice my concerns to management. One of the responses was “ it is not mandatory to sit while doing data entry “ they refused to provide assistant overlap at least in the beginning. No help whatsoever only a list of tasks to be done written by the manager every morning. Instead of working on the challenges I faced, one day I showed up for work and I find the manager and district manager waiting for me and they said you are terminated you can go home and we will order uber for you if you would like. It was really a bad experience but I was relieved as I wanted to hand in my resignation anyway at least this way I did not have to wait for 2 weeks- i am not sure though why they did not send an email instead of me having to show up. I read some bad reviews about Rexall and how they disrespect their staff- i wish I listened and did not have to go through this.
