Constantly understaffed. Since last December since I was hired I think 12 people have been let go. 8 people within the last 2 months. Revolving door. Super aggressive disciplinary system. three strikes your out no matter how petty. I caught a telephone line infraction 1 not hard to do when you sit 13'6. Tires on grass infraction 2 you'll serve a 3 day suspension for property damage. Finally an actual backing accident on a street you have to back all the way down for at least a mile. while avoiding traffic, fixed objects while reversing through a residential neighborhood and your outta there no questions asked. This is not the woe is me everything is not my fault. This is just a reality of this place. Things can and will go wrong but when they do. you will be ousted in a hurry because there is no shortage of people who think "I'm safe, I can make it through this." But you only have to make it through tough spots every day. Things like low hanging telephone wires turfing grass that cause no real damage will come back to bite you because here at Republic we only see incident. Accidents shouldn't happen every day. However, I seen people without reprimand get into rear end collisions, head on collisions on hiways not even get suspended. So consistently inconsistent is the motto that management takes. So this is why they keep burning through people and they are always in a hole. Great pay. Decent people until there is an issue then your the village idiot.
